Talk About Community Impact!

The 3Rivers free medical equipment loan program just celebrated its 25th year of service. In the last 2 years alone, we have loaned over 130 pieces of medical equipment. With this program, we connect community members donating equipment to those needing equipment. Remember, if you have wheelchairs, shower chairs, or other medical equipment gathering dust in your home, you can donate it to 3Rivers!

Disability Mentoring Day

Disability Mentoring Day is an annual event where students with disabilities are matched with mentors and experience hands-on career exploration. 3Rivers currently hosts two of these. One in Atchison and one in Manhattan.

Ramps

3Rivers often collaborates with community partners, such as Habitat for Humanity, to install or build ramps and stair railings for 3Rivers consumers.

Accessible Car Project

We are so proud to show off the Spirit of Wamego train with its accessible car. This project was completed in 2016. It included many years of advocating, brainstorming, and sometimes begging, but it’s fully operational! The smiles in the video located in the below video say it all.
