Self-Directed Home Care Services
Self-direction is a service model allowing persons with disabilities or elderly individuals needing additional assistance to oversee and manage services in their home. This service model ensures you maintain the right to hire, train, and direct your workers guided by a personal support plan you develop.
Individuals who self-direct their in-home care can utilize Fiscal Management Services (FMS) to provide the administrative payroll functions for their attendants. Certain programs such as the Medicaid Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) programs and some insurance companies will pay for this service for qualifying individuals. 3Rivers also offers affordable options for individuals choosing to pay for this service themselves. (See Home Care Options for more details on our private pay program.)
